A friendly waiter will usher you to your table or to look at the menu whilst you have a drink in the delightful bar that has been furnished Lamu style.
Ali Barbour’s Cave Restaurant serves international food, with dishes of the highest quality and offers a uniquely romantic evening with an unrivaled atmosphere in a coral Cave. It specialises in seafood though a variety of other dishes are served. The wine cellar is predominantly stocked by Villiera Wines. A family vineyard and supplies them with the very best that South Africa has to offer.
You experience a very special evening here so a bit of ‘dressing up’ is recommended and men are asked to wear long trousers – vest and ‘back to front’ baseball caps are not well received! Whilst you dine you can see the stars through a hole in the roof of the cave and if it should rain an intriguing canvas cover glides over to protect you. At the end a visitor’s book is passed around and any comments are welcome, in fact the book can make interesting reading!
Highly recommended and an evening to remember in probably the most beautiful restaurant in Africa.
