dining experience” |

| You will never forget your
first visit to the Cave, as you walk down the stairs into the candle
lit fairyland (cavern) that awaits you below. A friendly waiter will usher you to your table or to look at the menu whilst you have a drink in the delightful bar that has been furnished Lamu style. Ali Barbour’s Cave Restaurant serves international food, with dishes of the highest quality and offers a uniquely romantic evening with an unrivaled atmosphere in a coral Cave. It specialises in seafood though a variety of other dishes are served. The wine cellar is predominantly stocked by Villiera Wines. A family vineyard and supplies them with the very best that South Africa has to offer. You experience a very special evening here so a bit of ‘dressing up’ is recommended and men are asked to wear long trousers – vest and ‘back to front’ baseball caps are not well received! Whilst you dine you can see the stars through a hole in the roof of the cave and if it should rain an intriguing canvas cover glides over to protect you. At the end a visitor’s book is passed around and any comments are welcome, in fact the book can make interesting reading! |
